About Me

Hello! I am Edneil Jocusol, a 27-year old Filipino expat working in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia — an engineer by profession, a photographer by vocation, a writer by calling.

In the advent of Photoshop, it's getting harder these days to separate reality from fantasy. As a photographer, my aim is to draw the line between the two. Under my lens, I view the world as a raw and perfect scene requiring minimal enhancements as much as possible.

Time, light, accuracy, emotion, transparency — these are my five key takeaways in shooting images that will extract the real story from a fast-moving, ever-changing society. If there's no emotion, I won't press the shutter button. If there's no story, I'd rather dump the photo.

I believe that we are a marvelous creation of a creative God. And in return, we should paint the world by being creative as well. I do this by taking photoshoots of landscapes, portraits of people in action according to their diverse culture & lifestyle, and travel documentaries of places unappreciated.
